Why choose

Quince Court?

Quince Court is one of our Extra Care schemes and is situated in the market town of Sandy, Bedfordshire.

Extra Care means that we offer tailored support to customers over 55 who have care or support needs, to enable them to live securely in their own home. Quince Court currently has 30 individual flats (26 one-bed and 4 two-bed), a communal lounge, kitchen and laundry room. There’s also a garden, assisted bathroom and a scooter store on site. Friends and family can visit and, should you need a bit more room, there will be a guest suite that you can book for a small charge. Customers and their guests can also enjoy relaxing in the sun-room, which is a bright modern space with comfy seating.

“I like living at Quince Court, everyone is so friendly. I’m looking forward to the new lounge and having coffee mornings again. I think anyone would like to live here; staff are so helpful and we have a nice outlook from our windows.”

The local area

Sandy is a rural town on the outskirts of Biggleswade that sits on the River Ivel. It has an excellent range of shops, supermarkets and amenities and, with excellent transport links, the towns of Biggleswade and Bedford are within easy reach, as are London, Stevenage, and Cambridge. Quince Court itself is a short walk to a number of local amenities and the town centre, and a bus stop is situated next to the scheme.

“I am very happy living at Quince Court, I go to the local shop and catch a bus into Sandy, as I have my independence. If I need any help I have my emergency button I can press and someone will attend to me. I would recommend living at Quince Court to anyone, especially if they need some care, but still want to enjoy their independence.”
